Some of the Nation's hottest stock car racing can be seen at Lowe's Motor Speedway. The three NASCAR Winston Cup events: The Coca Cola 600, the Winston and the Mello Yello 500 take place here in Charlotte.
Golf lovers are fortunate to see the new Wachovia Championships at Quail Hollow Country Club May 5th through the 11th. There are also approximately 40 public and private golf courses in the immediate Charlotte region.
